Also located between Nepal and China, Makalu Mountain is 8463 meters high. To date, it has been little explored – about 250 people have reached the summit since 1955.

Located in the Mahalangur Himal subrange in the Himalayas between Nepal and China, Everest is 8848 meters high. It was first climbed on May 29, 1953.
